Erick has a long history of working for organizations that offer Bilingual services like education, cultural consultant. He currently holds a position as a recruiter-advocate where he identifies and recruits children eligible for the program, advocates for services to meet their needs, and supports parent engagement activities.

Assistant Director

Michele Cheney provides business development and project management at ESCORT. With a background in ESL, teaching reading, and migrant education, she conducts professional development, technical assistance and program reviews. She has worked with ESCORT since 2001.

Senior Education Specialist

Margarita (Margot) provides technical assistance and professional development in the area of identification and recruitment for the migrant education program (MEP). Additionally, Margot assists the MEP in the continuous improvement cycle (comprehensive needs assessment, service delivery plan, and evaluation). She has been with ESCORT since 2006.

Matt provides technical assistance and project support using his expertise of tools and techniques related to the identification and recruitment of migratory children. Matt started in Migrant Education many years ago as an intern, advanced to a recruiter and now serves as an identification and recruitment leader and trainer in multiple states.

Senior ID&R Trainer

As the ID&R Trainer for ESCORT, Lupi Ginn provides technical assistance and professional development for migrant education program staff. Assistance includes: the most effective and appropriate strategies to identify migrant families, interview techniques, and collaborating with school districts and community based agencies. She also participates in recruitment sweeps and re-interview initiatives in several states.

Project Staff Associate

Jocelyn carries out duties related to fiscal operations as well as travel logistics for ESCORT. As a Certified Government Meeting planner, Jocelyn provides key support in planning and orchestrating conferences, meetings, and forums. She has been with ESCORT since 1996.

Information Systems Analyst

Rob manages all of the I.T. systems and researches ways to use new technology to improve services. He handles everything connected to a power cable or displayed on a screen, as well as data analysis and day to day support. Rob has been with the organization since 2015.

Office Assistant

Deedee provides general office support that includes answering the phone, organizing and maintaining the office, and assisting staff with paperwork and documents.

Recruiter

Bob provides support to Missouri migrant students and their families through outreach, identification and recruitment, education services, and through coordinating family engagement and Parent Advisory Council activities. A rural Missouri native, he comes to ESCORT with a background in immigration and special education advocacy.

Ray provides administration and oversight to ESCORT's activities. Ray provides professional development on MEP program administration, ID&R, multicultural awareness, second language acquisition, parent involvement and other migrant education program issues. He has worked for ESCORT since 1993.

Iris works with the Missouri Migrant Education Program. As a bilingual recruiter, she will be serving our SE Missouri region. As a former migrant student, she can relate with our migrant families and provide them with the support they need. She has 8 years of experience working with kids academically and has helped them transition to higher education.

Andrea Roberts is a Statewide Recruiter with the Louisiana Migrant Education Program. She is responsible for conducting in the field ID&R activities across the state. She also conducts recruitment in targeted parishes in the southeast region of the state. Prior to working with ESCORT, Andrea was a Recruiter & Advocate for St. Martin Parish.

Jose carries out duties related to Migrant Education Program identification and recruitment. He conducts research and carries out recruitment efforts and re-interviews using the latest data, trends and technology. Jose has an extensive background working with migrant families, out-of-school youth, employers, and community-based agencies.

Tomi is a bilingual recruiter for the Louisiana Migrant Education Program. She has been an MEP recruiter since beginning with the South Arkansas MEP in 1999. As a statewide Recruiter, Tomi is responsible for conducting recruitment throughout Louisiana and providing ID&R support to MEP parishes.

Recruiter

Laurie Stewart is a Statewide Recruiter for the Louisiana Migrant Education Program. She is responsible for collaborating with school districts and disseminating and following up on search forms statewide. She also conducts recruitment in targeted parishes in the southeast region of the state. Prior to working with ESCORT, Laurie worked for more than 22 years in Terrebonne Parish School District as an elementary teacher, an EL teacher, and a Migrant recruiter.

Yeni is a senior recruiter for the Missouri Migrant Education Program (MEP). She has been with MEP since 2009 identifying and recruiting families who move or travel to work in agriculture in SW Missouri. She has been with ESCORT since 2015.

Anna is responsible for select project data intake, review, and maintenance. She also provides general office support that includes logistics, office supply management, and provides some assistance in training events.

Teresa serves as a Lead Project Specialist where she provides technical assistance and program support. Her tasks include overseeing identification and recruitment efforts in selected states; facilitating parent engagement activities and parent advisory council meetings; and, conducting coordination events for key program stakeholders.
