About Us

ESCORT, formerly the Eastern Stream Center on Resources and Training, is a national resource center dedicated to improving educational opportunities for ALL children. We believe that all children have the ability to succeed in school given the right tools, authentic, meaningful opportunities, and high quality instruction.

ESCORT staff work with state and local education agencies, school districts, and federal and state government agencies to enable education and services for disadvantaged populations. Our work is primarily focused on the needs of migrant farmworker families and English learners. We translate our knowledge and experience into strategic professional development and technical assistance. Our staff, which includes nationally-recognized subject matter experts in Identification & Recruitment (ID&R), provides training and technical assistance on ID&R strategies and techniques, as well as supporting states' recruitment and re-interview efforts. Our staff also provides research and dynamic training sessions (on-site and e-coaching) to empower educators to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse student population.
