B-2 Rights and Services for Homeless Migrant Students
Due to the high mobility and poverty experienced by many migrant families, some migrant students may be considered homeless under the McKinney-Vento Act (Title X, Part C of NCLB). Participants will learn about McKinney-Vento eligibility criteria and services available to qualified students. Provisions for homeless students contained in other federal laws, including IDEA, Title IA, and the College Cost Reduction and Access Act also will be discussed. Participants will learn about:
